How far is it to the beach from my doorstep?
65 miles approx (I’m going the direct route, which means crossing the most
rugged part of the south-west!)
How am I getting to the beach? Walking over
Dartmoor and then cycling from Okehampton to Saunton
How long do I think it is going to take me?
3.5 days (walking on Dartmoor is slow going!)
What surf craft will I be carrying on the trip? Something
inflatable – hopefully a crocodile
This is an interesting fact about myself….Spent
6 months in Australia and failed to try surfing
My favourite beach is….Long Beach, Tofino,
Vancouver Island
On the way I will be singing….The Wombats,
Fratelli’s and other upbeat numbers (helps keep away the bears)
I want to take part in this because…I want
to help those who helped William and other children in his situation.
I would like everyone to know that….If you think you are too small
to do anything, try getting to sleep trapped in a room with a mosquito.
