Why are we walking to the beach?
Robert and Catherine founded 'just a walk to the beach' a fundraising group because they want to support Jeans for Genes and The Sick Children's Trust.
Their son, William and the remarkable people in their lives were the inspiration for the project. William had a life threatening genetic condition called Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome. He was diagnosed when he was only 5 months old.
When he was 18 months old he had a Bone Marrow Transplant to give him a future and spent over 4 months being cared for in Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children. Today he is doing very well.
These two charities made a big difference to them and offer hope for future treatments and support to families during difficult times.
